The universe - Avalon
The size of single blood cells, Nanodites, are machines engineered to function as a white blood cell replacement. Created by Creetion in response to the Gatic Death, his original Nanodites were only capable of attacking diseases and illness. However, as time progressed, so did Nanodite effectiveness. Nanodites are now able to repair tissue damage, giving Nanodites immense healing rates and they can be programmed directly by an individual via their Nanodite LED, which can be accessed on their wrist. Through this display, a person can choose to remove scars, acne, cure myopia, and eliminate baldness or almost any medical condition.
Genetically engineered humans, Gatics, have modified their DNA to become what they believe is the pinnacle of man's evolution. An average Gatic is eight feet tall and four hundred pounds, with skin that is stronger than Kevlar. Their muscle density has also been increased well beyond that of normal men, giving them a strength level far in excess of that of the Nanodites (even with maximum NG). Because the evolutionary history of the human eye can be traced back to what is seen in most fish, massive modifications have been made to their vision. Gatics have telescoping vision, enabling them to see objects at nearly any distance with great detail, and they have the ability to change what spectrum of light they can see.
Nanodites are a derivative of microscopic machines called Nandradolites. These tiny bots were originally designed to continuously repair the engines on the massive space vehicles used in the terraforming of the terrestrial planets. Designed by Creetion, Nandradolites were a gargantuan leap forward in interstellar travel, enabling spaceships to remain in service nearly indefinitely with little to no maintenance.
"NG" (Nanodite Growth)
When a Nanodite is injured and their body is swiftly repaired, they can experience what is called Nanodite Growth. For example, in a fight, as muscle tissue is torn, it will be repaired and grow in strength incredibly quickly. This NG gives a Nanodite the ability to gain immense strength in a short amount of time.
The Council of Durham
Terraforming Our Solar System
When determined it was economically impossible to move humanity to another solar system, the Council of Durham put in motion a plan to move Mercury, Venus and Mars into the habitable zone of our solar system to be terraformed.
Phase One: By using the largest space vehicles ever constructed by man, Kuiper Belt objects from beyond Pluto were moved into the inner part of the our solar system to shift where Mercury, Venus and Mars orbit around the Sun. Using Jupiter as an anchor, Mercury, Venus and Mars were linked to this gas giant by orbiting the massive Kuiper Belt objects in a figure eight pattern around the planets. These orbiting objects functioned as a gravitational gas pedal, speeding up the orbital velocity of Mercury and Venus (slowing Mars) enabling them to move farther away from the Sun. Once in the Goldilock Zone, the area in our solar system where liquid water can exist, the orbits of the three planets were slowed so that their path around our sun would stabilize.
Phase Two: Although classified, speculations are that artificial black holes were created to assist the Kuiper Belt objects and dramatically accelerate the movement of the planets into the Goldilock Zone. These black holes were created by space crafts believed to be called “G.P.V.s” (God Particle Vehicles), which are thought to have produced unstable black holes. Only existing momentarily, these black holes yanked on Mercury, Mars, and Venus enabling the movement of the planets to occur over an extremely short amount of time. However, because of the classified nature of this phase of the terraforming process and the fact that the G.P.V.’s were completely consumed by the black holes they are believed to have created, very little factual evidence exists.
Phase Three: Venus was the first planet terraformed. Because of the hellacious condition on Venus’s surface, multiple steps had to be taken to cool the planet. First, the thick acidic clouds that consume the planet were broken apart by “Tempests”, extremely high altitude aircraft that systematically released a basic chemical compound to neutralize the sulfuric clouds. Once this caustic cloud cover was broken up, the planet was free to breathe and the immense amounts of greenhouse gases were blown away by the solar wind. To further cool this world, Creetion and Oen stopped Venus’s rotation and only periodically turn the planet to dramatically drop the surface temperature of the side of the planet shielded from the Sun.
Phase Four: Transforming Venus into an Earth-like world meant the planet must have been given two things: a magnetic field and, most important of all, water. The solution to both of these problems would be found on an ice moon of Jupiter called Europa. This satellite of the gas giant is engulfed by miles of surface ice and would be relocated to Venus using the same Kuiper Belt object used to move the terrestrial planets. Once this moon arrived near Venus it was orbited elliptically to create massive gravitational forces that would stretch and squeeze this world. This immense gravitational imbalance was so intense that it liquefied Venus’s iron core, jump starting its magnetosphere and at the same time exerting such a strong force on Europa that its ice was sucked from its surface making it rain down on Venus.
Phase Five: In this final step in transforming Venus, the planet’s new oceans were filled with endless amounts of blue-green algae to convert the planet’s CO2 into oxygen. What became known as planetary photosynthesis, trillions upon trillions of metric tons of carbon dioxide were consumed by these bacteria which released gaseous oxygen as a byproduct. Once the oxygen levels reached levels suitable for life, the concentration of algae in the oceans was dramatically reduced and humanity's second home was born.
Phase Six: Although Mercury and Mars were moved into the habitable zone of our solar system, with plans to be terraformed, their transformation was never completed because of the outbreak of war.
